A view in the site...

As I am working on the physical model and the packaging, I also am looking at some presentation views, and thought I would share this preliminary one...

Rick,
Thanks for sharing this nice preliminary Perspective.
Its looking great, I wonder if you may like to turn the building little bit towards Dartmouth street( to the left of the drawing, so it doesn't be centralized in the middle. with the same picture in the background, that could handle that.

The lady in the foreground with the pink Blouse is taking too much attention of the eye, competing with your (grey, or blue later) building in the background, I think it would be better if you could take her away by Photoshop,
or make her blouse cooler.

I wonder if you may consider different color for your building, or even different grey hue. so it stand up more (visually) in the perspective. I think you have done a great job. super!

Rick,

Amr's coment is right that the building is too centralized, and not addressing one street or the other. It is teaching us nothing new about how to turn a corner. The entry doors are similalry unconsidered. Why so many, and simply placed in rows?

It seems to be decisions were made without testing the ideas. Testing ideas is how one studies architecture. Sketching a building from this side and that, checking to see how things integrate and what effect they have on surrounding areas. Once the effects are understood, the sketches are constantly calibrated and modified to adjust the building as it relates to the site. I don't see this happening in your case. As previously requested, I'd like to see elements being studied for a variety of options. This kind of study helps sharpen your thinking, a request that was made by an outside critic at the end of the intensive.

Rick,
I think your idea has come a long way. I have one concern. You expressed that your idea is organic architecture and maybe it is just me but I don't think or organic architecture as being as rigid as you find your design to be. I don't think of it as being symetrical. I think of multiple interacting floor planes, curvy ramps, etc. I do agree with Amr's and Ted's comment about the building being too centralized. Do you think of the streets as equals and that is why you centralized it?
